Sunday Evening Reflections:

What a great weekend. Lots going on.

Reflections:

  • At LifePoint Church this weekend our women’s ministry had a Girls Weekend Out (GWO). Our community group women attended GWO so on Friday evening our men met for dinner and had a great time just hanging out and talking and sharing. Good bunch of guys in our group.
  • Saturday evening at LifePoint was filled with meetings. We are investigating starting a Celebrate Recovery (CR) ministry. My thoughts for some time have been we are a “Come as You Are” church, but then you have to go some place else to get help with the bondage you find yourself in. So we are looking at starting CR. I am impressed with those who have attended these meetings. They are serious about their walk with Jesus and helping others on this journey as well.
  • Sunday was crazy good at LifePoint. Both worship gatherings were well attended. I haven’t looked through the stats yet, but I think our 10:45 am gathering was the largest attended hour (outside of Christmas & Easter) in the history of the church. It was a balancing act getting everyone settled in the worship center as well as our video cafe. I’m going to have to listen to the sermon on-line since I was running around behind the scenes working on stuff.
  • Saturday afternoon was full of football games. We do have a new family tradition on Sunday evenings. Our daughter, Erin, love Extreme Home Makeover so we’ve been watching that. We eat popcorn and watch the heartwarming stories of people who need new homes.

Hope you all had a great weekend and have a great week.

Blessings,

Dave

  2. Hey Dave-That would be awesome to have a CR group. I was just asked about that recently and honestly didn’t have an answer. Thank you for all you do to make LifePoint Church a “Come as You are Church”. I know many broken people who have found a home and are working on a relationship with Jesus Christ because of what LifePoint offers. (including me)! THANKS
