What a great weekend. Hope your’s was excellent as well.
- Friday morning we picked-up our daughter, Erin, from Shepherds Home in Union Grove, WI to bring home to live with us. As we were driving down the road it dawned on us that we had to keep driving all the way back to MD. Our car was so loaded with Erin’s stuff that to stop for the night would have meant un-packing the entire vehicle to get our things that we needed for that evening, so we drove all the way back home in the one day. Tired, but home we slept well.
- Erin starts roasting coffee Monday morning in her new job in MD. I’m looking forward to the benefit of our own roasted coffee on a regular basis. We’ll keep you all informed as to how this enterprise goes.
- We had great weekend worship gatherings at LifePoint Church. Lance Burch, our Student Ministries Pastor, did an excellent job speaking to the words we say from Proverbs. You can catch his teaching on line later today at http://www.lifePointchurch.us.
- At the end of the morning I sat in on the volunteer briefing for our second Grounds & Sounds. Our young adult ministry is doing another coffee house this Friday evening — 7:00 to 11:00 pm. The funds raised this time will go to World Relief for Haiti.
