Christmas Reflections:

Well, it’s been a while since a post. I thought I would combine my Christmas Reflections with what I usually do for Sunday Evenings. Hope you had a great Christmas.

  • Christmas Eve was just awesome. We had over 3,000 that attended our four services. That does not include the children that were in their areas the first two hours. It was the largest gathering in the life of LifePoint Church. More importantly a number of people gave their lives to Christ as Joe shared a clear declaration of the good news of Jesus.
  • Christmas day was great! Two of our daughters are with us — Mandy & Erin — and we just had a great time of hanging out and enjoying one another. Later in the day Sergei & Larisa came over for dinner and a good time as well.
  • Our weekend services were lower than usual. We all think it was so close to our Christmas Eve services that people stayed home over the weekend or went to visit friends.
  • Joe’s final teaching time on The Atonement was great. I shared with the church in concluding each service how awesome it is to get a seminary education in the crucible of life. If you would like to hear and watch the three-part series you can go to and find the sermons page. You will not regret spending the time watching this series. It will change the way you look at the atonement.

Have a great last week of 2009. I’m looking forward to what God has in store for us in 2010!
